About Lorena

Lorena Sanchez leads advocacy, communication, and development at the Downtown Women’s Center (DWC), the only organization in Los Angeles focused exclusively on empowering women experiencing homelessness. Prior to joining DWC, Lorena served as Director of Admission for USC’s Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, responsible for recruiting the College’s freshmen class and administering its merit-based scholarships. She previously worked as a communication officer at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France, overseeing a web-based civic engagement platform covering 40 countries in seven languages. Lorena holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in journalism and international relations and a Master’s of Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California.
