UL Core Session: The Deceiving Narrative of Imposter Syndrome

Join us for our next Untapped Leadership Core Session as we focus on understanding ourselves as a leadership practice.

Current narratives surrounding Imposter Syndrome places the onus of work on the individual, often with people of color and women suffering from its detriments. The rhetoric centers on advice for those experiencing Imposter Syndrome on overcoming those feelings of inadequacy without the necessary interrogation of the systems that cultivate their presence. Join us for this session on Dispelling Imposter Syndrome to better identify its source (hint: it's not you), and as a result, build strategies to more effectively navigate moments when those feelings surface in your career.

In this session you will:

  • Understand the origins and research of imposter syndrome Identify personal moments experiencing imposter syndrome

  • Understand the systemic influences that contribute feelings of being an imposter

  • Identify action steps to "flip the script" and dispel the imposter syndrome narrative
